My name is Ryan Patrick Phinney. I was
born in Atlanta. I am a veteran of the United States Army Infantry, with
4 years active service, and I began working for the Atlanta Police
Department in November 1986. I was injured in the line of duty on
September 11, 1989.
I was involved in an accident while responding to an Officer Assistance
call. As a result, I suffered a spinal cord injury which left me
permanently paralyzed below my rib cage. There is no medical treatment
or chance of any recovery. |
